Dongtan used to be one of the most gay-popular beaches in Thailand. It attracts a more diverse group of tourists, ex-pats, and locals, virtually all year round.
Dongtan gets busy in the afternoon and on weekends when families visit and relax. The beach is one of the best in Pattaya for children. It has a lot of shady areas under the trees, ideal for a picnic. In addition, it has good service, facilities, food, and drinks.
